A Snowy Day on the Glacier (A Chronology)

Today my friend from high school, Jordan Sanders, and I rode our bikes across the frozen lake to the mendenhall glacier where we walked around till we found a good face to set up an anchor above, rappel down into and ice climb back out. Its kinda frustrating trying to get good pictures the act of ice climbing and belaying both require two hands so neither activity is conducive to pictures, but we did our best. We spent the whole day on the ice, it was dark when we left and dark when we got back. Afterwards we went out to eat.

The Real Bird

This is our Love bird, we call him "birdus"

I caught him on an exceptional dirty day so he was very eager to get cleaned up.

The trip so far, a chonology (We serve a risen savior...)

Here are some pictures I've taken so far, still working on some videos.
So near the bottom are pictures of my brothers Elliot(with the iron) and Justin is the profile. The ocean pictures are pretty much in front of my house. Jordan, who rides his bike 45 min to work and back every day is in the green flash.

So tomorrow, Jordan and I are going to go ice climbing. I'll have some great pictures/videos up soon.

Wedding pictures.

So.... I guess I was in this wedding last summer and now that I'm at the guys house who got married I can put some pictures up.

Jesus-Do-christ- not-is- open-the- till -messiah- Xmas. (happy?)

My family traditions are pretty basic. For a long time we've had two houses. Usually we go to dads house for Christmas morning. It was never a very big deal at moms so it wasn't as much fun. Usually in the evening we go open presents there.

Elliot and I would get to open one present on Christmas eve if we really begged. dad would stay up late wrapping the gifts from him after we went to bed. we'd lay awake pretending to go to sleep and he'd peek in and we'd just lay still. We knew "Santa" wouldn't come until we were asleep and we also knew that if Santa didn't get enough sleep he wouldn't want to wake up at 0700 when Elliot and I would wake up and yell "HEY ITS CHRISTMAS!!! WAKE UP!!!" the other brother would spring out of the rack and sprint down the hall to behold the great sprawling volume of treasures. They usually doubled in floorspace over night.

After the frenzy of present opening we'd play catch with the dogs wrapped squeaky toy till it drove her mad and she tore the wrapping paper off it.

It seems that every year we'd forget about our stockings and then one of us would remember. usually the fire would melt all the chocolate. this is also where Dad put the tooth brush, floss, deodorant kind of toys.

We also had it figured out that dad wanted coffee and the kitchen cleaned before he got up. He usually makes us breakfast that morning and we spend the rest of the afternoon playing with what ever we got and eating candy.

Its gonna be a little different this year. My dad has this second job that needs him to work 7-noon on the 25th. So tobi, maybe I can just skype with you guys and at least watch the festivities. that'd be pretty fun. You can get an idea what Christmas with Jo will be like in five years after she has enough kids to stay home.

We would have protested dad working but if he doesn't work then some people who have little kids will have to and that's just sick to deprive kids of anything magical about Christmas. And just as sick to deprive the parents of seeing the kids face. I think that'll be almost as much fun as actually being the kid.

My flight was pretty good, mom was really tired so she just slept the whole time. I don't sleep anywhere except my bed... emphasis on the MY part. I slept really bad the night before my flight first I was cold so I woke up and put my preppy green sweater on... It was like 0330 and about an hour before we had to leave so I just sat up in bed and watched TV for an hour. TV is so worthless, I'd love to just not have one. Just have a computer surrounded by chairs and a couch so you can watch movies on it. So it you're wondering why I posted so early its cause I went' to bed a 8 last night and got up at 3 this morning (again HA!).

I commandeered a camera from my dad so I'm gonna have a lot of pictures this time around.

Tobi says this picture makes me look young. I think its just cause I'm tan. Anyway I found it and was so moved by the loss of "blue destiny" that I had to put it up.

Totaly Done

So I had this little extra credit class for school that had me do a few shifts in the ICU, at night. After becoming accustom to night shift I think I might like to do it for a while. Something about being able to go home when 0700 when all the other losers have to go to work is great. Its so much easier to get out of bed in the evening than it is in the morning.

I had kind of a funny event happen. I got the opportunity to Intubate a guy, thats where you put a tube in someones lungs to breathe for them, technically I wasn't supposed to do it but the Doc asked me if I wanted to so I went for it. Of coarse my nurse let it slip to the teacher and I got all busted for it. I had to write a stupid bonus paper about the risk factors of intubation but what ever... I got done with it in 1.5 hours and shot it back too her... silly teachers.
